Buffalo Bisons Opening Day, Then and Now: 1986 (Video)

Spring is in the air.

April 7 is opening day for the Buffalo Bisons.  The Bisons will open their 126th season at 3:05, against the Syracuse Chiefs.  For those of us who love the game, and for those of us who just enjoy the experience, there is plenty to look forward to this year, including:

  • A brand new HD scoreboard – the biggest in all of minor league baseball
  • New, energy efficient lights
  • An updated ballpark menu
  • Alternate pinstripe jerseys
  • Plenty of promotions, including an “Aud Replicas” giveaway, on July 23

Until the ump yells “Play ball,” here’s a taste of the buzz around opening day way back in 1986.

Enjoy.

Go Bisons.
