“Taro Sez: It’s time to sing ‘Aud Sang Lyne!'”
That was one of the retro-Taro Tsujimoto banners on display when the Sabres celebrated the history of Memorial Auditorium, as it was about to be razed.
The space remains vacant (though many fans would be more than happy to allow Terry Pegula to drill for natural gas on the site), but the memories persist.
So, on my good ol’ orange Aud Seat, I came across an old link on my computer to some incredible shots of the Aud, inside and out, before the demolition man brought the hammer down.
It’s a must-read. It might just evoke a tear, or two.
Hit the link here, and enjoy.
