There’s going to be a big party at the HSBC Arena today.
It’s Terry Pegula’s birthday, and folks are a-buzz on social networks over a potential fan gathering at the HSBC to celebrate the team’s newest owner/hero/savior/superhero.
And why not celebrate? The Sabres have been on fire since “T-Pegs” purchased the team, and their defeat of New Jersey yesterday gave them a 5 point advantage over the Carolina Hurricanes for the 8th and final playoff spot in the East.
Indeed, emotions are high, and people want to honor the man that has changed the culture of this team to something robust with hope, optimism, and well wishes. Heck, isn’t that what a birthday party is about?
Details to come. Stay tuned.
Go Sabres.
UPDATE: Looks like the time is high noon. Don’t forget your sunglasses.
